**Overview**
You will provide innovative and quality psychological care to our clients and their families in the Early Intervention Programme at Rainbow Centre. Working in a multi-disciplinary setting, you will also conduct psychoeducational programmes and training for other professionals, so as to enable quality care and services.
**Responsibilities**
1. Conduct psychological assessments
- Coordinate and conduct formal and informal psychological assessments, including standardised tests e.g., school placement assessments (SPAs) under supervision
- Prepare assessment reports for routine cases
- Conduct intake assessment to determine child’s strengths and needs, and/or regular assessments for progress monitoring
2. Deliver interventions
- Work in a multi-disciplinary team comprising teachers and other professionals such as social workers and speech therapists to co-develop and implement evidence-based and data-driven intervention plans (such as emotional and behaviour management, and social skills training), as well as to conduct home visits when necessary
- Deliver psychological programmes and services. This may include:
- Guiding staff and parents/caregivers in implementing emotional, learning and behavioural evidence-based interventions, customised to the needs of individual child
- Maintaining timely and accurate records of students and to maintain regular contact with the child’s family when required
- Conducting transitional planning from one educational setting to another
- Providing intervention for caregivers
3. Build stakeholder relationships or capacity
- Provide evidence-based input for program/policy improvements
- Provide consultation for parents, teachers, caregivers and other stakeholders so as to improve child outcome as well as enhance the child’s learning and development
4. Uplift professional practice in psychology
- Assist in the delivery of training programmes as part of continuing professional development
- Present, facilitate and participate in CPH Case Discussions for knowledge-sharing and to hone clinical skills
- Deliver psychoeducation programmes for staff and caregivers
- Identify areas of improvement in models of client care and services based on evidence-based practices
- Perform data collection and analysis to support research e.g., programme evaluation for new initiatives/programs introduced in the SSA
- Provide guidance to peers and interns
- Attain SRP status or its equivalent (within first two years of appointment as Psychologist)
5. Others
- Attend and assist with group meetings, chair and/or present at the meetings when necessary
- Assist in the planning and implementation of SSA activities as assigned
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by Reporting Officer or Leadership
- Attend CPH meetings and events when necessary
- Prepare and submit reports e.g., monthly KPI tracking as required
6. Self-development
- Attend CPH/SSA endorsed training/workshops/seminars so as to develop relevant knowledge and skills
- Receive formal supervision from CPH’s approved supervisors as part of professional development Ensure team adherence to project timelines and deliverables are delivered as planned
**Requirements**:
1. Educational qualifications
- A recognised Masters’ degree in Applied Clinical Psychology (e.g., Clinical Psychology, Educational Psychology) from an accredited university. The programme must include a supervised practicum and supervised training in psychological assessments
- Be eligible for registration with the Singapore Psychological Society (SPS) (Full Membership) and Singapore Register of Psychologists (SRP) registration
2. Knowledge and experience
- (preferred) Experience in clinical settings and/or working with/in SSAs will be an advantage
3. Other qualities
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Flexible and adaptable
- Able to work in multi-disciplinary team
- Exceptional planning and organisational skills
- Fluency in local languages and familiarity with the local context will be an advantage
