Database Specialist

**Job Objectives
To analyze, plan, co-ordinate, create and support database related activities that includes tasks across the full SDLC environments, from Dev to PROD.
**Key Responsibilities
- Designing / Solutioning / Provisioning of DBA Support as per the Project needs.
- To work with development team to understand the database requirements and suggest the suitable designs/procedures.
- To work with development team to troubleshoot on any performance related issues and find solutions.
- To be able to work with other infrastructure teams like Unix Administrators, Networks team to complete the tasks as per the schedules.
- To be able to plan, implement, monitor, report & deliver various key Project requirements.
- To be able to work with team member, guiding junior staff and take responsibility for deliverables
- Drive/Deliver automation in the environment provisioning, health checks & upgrades.
**Key Requirements
At least 15 years IT experience, preferably spread across development and core infrastructure, with
- At least 5 years of experience working with Oracle 12c/19c, with banking/financial domain experience a plus.
- At least 5 years pf experience with Oracle PL/SQL coding.
- Extensive knowledge with Oracle RMAN backup & recovery, Patching, Upgrade, Flashback, Data Guard, Database Tuning.
- Oracle database troubleshooting.
- Experience working in Unix environments (Solaris/RHEL).
- Proficient in Unix shell scripting.
- Database and SQL performance tuning.
- Knowledge of Python and Power Shell is an added advantage.- Unix/Windows Basic administration.
- Excellent knowledge of Oracle with good exposure to other databases.
- Experience in working on a delivery focused environment.
- Configuration Management concepts.
- Degree from an accredited college / university.
- Relevant certifications.
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills.
- Team Player, ability to work with a flexible approach.
