Senior Research Engineer I

The Institute’s research focuses on a host of Interdisciplinary Research Programmes, Flagship Programmes, Consortium Platform and an Accelerator Programme that covers the energy value chain from generation to innovative end-use solutions, motivated by industrialisation and deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate system requirements into features and functionality through understanding of analogue and digital electronics and their interface to the microcontroller peripherals.
- Architecture development, design and verification of digital circuit designs using FPGAs and DSPs
- Implementation, optimization, simulation and debugging of the functions for FPGA and DSP technologies.
- Collaborate with system and software engineers to conduct power electronics converter and system hardware testing and troubleshoot problems.
Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Computer Control and Automation, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Power Electronics, Firmware Engineering or relevant area.
- At least 5 years of FPGA and DSPs development experience
- Experience in selection and use of DSPs, microcontrollers, and programmable logic devices and their peripheral circuitry.
- Knowledge in power converters and its key components working theory and mechanism, such as MOSFETs, gate driver and controller.
- High interest to work in an R&D environment.
