Singapore MHA - Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) Full time

**What the role is**
- The job holder supports and delivers psychological services in the Emergency Behavioural Sciences and CARE unit with the aim to enhance the psychological resilience and effectiveness of the SCDF and the Home Team.

**What you will be working on**
- 1) Provide psychological counselling and case management of SCDF staff, including collaborating with stakeholders in SCDF and external agencies to facilitate appropriate counselling interventions for the staff.
2) Provide day-to-day mental well-being and resilience services for staff in SCDF.
3) Develop mental health and resilience programmes to enhance the resilience of staff.
4) Conduct psychometric testing and interpretation of results to individuals and groups to facilitate intervention.
5) Provide critical incident stress management services and interventions to staff in SCDF.
6) Conduct psychological research in areas of operational psychology, emergency behaviours, morale management, stress and resilience, and critical incident stress.
7) Translate research materials into training packages and applied programmes, and conduct training and implement programmes for SCDF.
8) Participate in overseas deployment with the SCDF Operation Lionheart contingent to provide in-situ psychological support services to staff.
9) Coordinates and conducts meetings, seminars, talks, focus groups discussions, and trainings where required.
10) Participates and performs staffer duties such as secretariat, and procurement/ financial administrative functions.
11) Supports and participates in other projects and events as initiated by the Home Team.

**What we are looking for**
- 1) Have taken courses and related experiences in counselling, crisis and health psychology, research methods, psychometric data analysis and interpretation.
2) Preferably with at least 1-2-year work experience in psychology / related behavioural sciences.
3) Good writing, analytical and communication skills
4) Good interpersonal and teamwork skills
5) Able to work independently and work under time pressure.
6) Demonstrate proficiency in statistical analysis and the use of statistical software.
