Lead Product Consultant

**Position Summary**:

- Provide architecture consultation to customers and engagements
- Translate wide spectrum of experience gained from multiple engagement into tangible knowledge assets

**Key Result Areas**
- Build technical architecture for products and related solutions
- Provide architecture consulting to customers
- Conceive and ensures adoption of reusable components/design patterns across multiple engagements
- Researching new technology/packages/COTS solutions, build POCs to compare
- Play active role in organizational initiatives such as talent acquisition, knowledge dissemination (trainings, mentoring)
- Mentor & manage a group of Product consultants to enhance performance and develop them for higher responsibilities
- Actively participate in responding to RFI/RFPs and other critical presales/post sales activities pertinent to Product CoE

**Typical Responsibilities**:

- **Business / Customer**
- Conversant with architectural patterns, integration patterns and possesses wide knowledge of third party tools & frameworks which can be effectively positioned to solve a customer need.
- Work with the customer to define scope at the overall project or product level based on the vision for the project/product
- Understand the implicit customer pain points and translate them into business opportunities by providing value added services for customers
- Present the value proposition of chosen architectural solution, tools and frameworks clearly and succinctly to the customer
- Map explicit and implicit customer expectations during the definition of deliverables
- Assess ,prioritize and manage customer expectations and needs
- Understand and act on factors that relate to customer expectations
- Proactively build rapport with key stakeholders in the client organization across different levels
- Manage customer disagreements with regard to project scope and resolve conflicts of interest of stakeholders
- Pursue critical and high value leads in consultation with senior managers
- Perform the role of brand ambassador by practicing the organizational brand values
- **Project/Process**
- Define logical and physical data models
- Contribute to design of high performing data architecture.
- Possess knowledge of intricacies of data migration.
- Conceive and ensure adoption of reusable components/design patterns
- Develop tools to improve delivery quality and productivity in areas of code development, development process improvement, design and architecture
- Drive development strategies, standards and guidelines to aid at the inter departmental level
- Ensure consistent reusability of tools and best practices across the product CoE
- Validate, review and audit technical artifacts for quality compliance
- Work with the customer to define scope at the overall project or product level based on the overall vision for the project/product
- Provide estimates for ’sufficiently‘ large engagements taking into consideration, organization benchmark/guidelines, re-use of best practices / tools
- Possess awareness of industry trends in terms of identified product and technology
- Possess hands-on experience of technical services, solutions and products provided by one or more LOBs and business segments
- Assist the technical team in the functional understanding of the project
- Translate the requirements to the development and testing teams involved in the project
- Possess understanding of Cognizant / industry consulting processes, frameworks and methodologies
- **People / Team**
- Mentor, groom and train Consultants and Specialists.
- Provide training on best practices in architecture.
- Share feedback and provide guidance to practitioners on managing professional development in their teams
- Guide team members to excel in their interactions / relationship with people from varied backgrounds
- Create / identify new development opportunities for teams and individuals, based on best practices and facilitate implementation of the same

**Degree of Independence/Supervision required**
- A Lead product consultant should demonstrate independence and requirement for mínimal supervision in the following areas:

- Conceptualizing and development of knowledge assets
- Areas in which a Lead product consultant needs supervision:

- Enterprise architecture consulting
- Resolving conflicts related to IP and customer confidentiality
- Team management

**Team Management Responsibilities**:

- Role predominantly is an individual contributor role but on need basis may need to manage small team

**Qualification**:

- Education: Science / Engineering Graduate
- Minimum Work Experience Required : 9-12 years

- Expert in IF, IRIS, TAFJ & Design Knowledge
- Expert in T24 Data Migration / T24 Upgrade / T24 Implementation
- Expert in T24 Technical & functional
- Project management & governance
- Interaction with Bank's leads
