**Responsibility**:
The Electrical & Instrument (E&I) Supervisor is overall responsible for the operability of electrical, instrument, control and automation systems on the vessel. This includes maintenance, updating of documentation, procedures, and coordination / supervision of E&I vendors.

Responsible for ensuring his subordinates are competent to carry out their allotted tasks, confirming and clarifying the status of E&I personnel, (Sn.Elec.Tech., Electricians, Instr.Tech., Instr. Tech, DCS/ICSS technicians, E&I trainees etc.). Plan and control use of resources effectively. (Personnel, time, materials)

The E&I Supervisor is fully responsible for the day
- to-day activities, own staff and for whom else he/she is responsible, are carried out in a safe and healthy manner and that the impact of such activities on the environment is within acceptable limits.

**Specific Duties**:

- Prepare and distribute jobs to his/her staff according to job instructions.
- Ensure that the electrical& instrument installation complies with the applicable rules and regulations (e.g., NR-10).
- Create plans and administrate on a day-to-day basis planned maintenance (CMMS) for electrical, instrument, control and automation.
- Follow up drawing file, vendor service reports and general documentation related to E&I activities.
- Coordinate/prepare and ensure proper processing of all purchasing requests related to E/I systems.
- Plan, distribute and coordinate E&I management of change jobs.
- Assist his/her staff and carry out repair and maintenance as required.
- Ensure guidelines for access management for control and safety systems are maintained;
- Ensure that all metering system routines are properly followed and executed.
- Carry out the duties and tasks as specified in the Emergency Response Plan
- Maintain Ex rating of electrical and instrument equipment as per design
- Assist in pre-commissioning and commissioning
- Liaise with other departments for coordination of maintenance activities

Furthermore, the E&I Supervisor must perform the work required by his superior and perform tasks according to company procedures, including administrative or operational tasks.

**Qualification Requirements**:
General education, certificates and experience:
a) Technical Education or B.S. in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, and/or Automation, preferably certified to work with high-voltage systems.

b) Extensive experience from Electrical/ Instrument technical areas, preferably on vessels and/or mobile units.

c) Preferably he/she would meet the standard of competence of electro-technical officer (ETO) STCW code A-III/6.

d) Fluent English
