Dormitory managers play a crucial role in creating a safe and supportive living environment for residents and are often the first point of contact for addressing issues and concerns within the dormitory.
The roles and responsibilities of a dormitory manager can vary depending on the specific site or facility they work in. However, here are standard responsibilities associated with the role of a Dormitory Manager:

Supervision and Oversight: The dormitory manager is responsible for the overall supervision and management of the dormitory. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring that the facility runs smoothly.
2.
Resident Support: Providing support and assistance to residents is a key responsibility. This may involve addressing resident concerns, providing information about dormitory rules and policies, and helping to create a positive living environment.
3.
Safety and Security: Ensuring the safety and security of residents is paramount. This includes implementing security measures, responding to emergencies, and working with campus or facility security personnel when necessary.
4.
Maintenance and Upkeep: The dormitory manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing maintenance and repair activities within the dormitory. This includes addressing maintenance requests, conducting regular inspections, and ensuring a clean and well-maintained environment.
5.
Budget Management: Managing the budget for the dormitory is a critical responsibility. This involves tracking expenses, making budget recommendations, and ensuring that the dormitory operates within budgetary constraints.

MOM monthly report.

MOM quarterly report.

ISRE report.
d.
Stakeholders reports wherever applicable. (JTC, HDB, LTA)
e.
Submission of Original DOs and Service chits.
f.
Submission of timesheets.
g.
Any other reports as applicable.

Collaboration: Collaborating with other departments and personnel, such as Government bodies, NGOs, maintenance teams, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of the dormitory.
12.
Emergency Response: Being prepared to respond to emergencies, such as fires, natural disasters, or medical incidents, and coordinating evacuation and response procedures as needed.
13.
Individual Development Programme: Dormitory managers are involved in the personal and academic development of their subordinates, providing guidance and resources to support their well-being, upskilling and success.
14.
Reporting: Providing regular reports to higher-level administrators or supervisors (Cluster Manager / General Manager) regarding dormitory operations, budget status, and any issues that require attention.
15.
Compliance: Ensuring that the dormitory complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and codes, as well as any specific policies set by the organization.
16.
Finding solutions to operational challenges and making improvements.
17.
Staying informed about changes in regulations that may affect dormitory operations.
18.
Contributing to the long-term planning and development of the dormitory, including potential expansion or renovation projects.
19.
