**Overview**:
We’re living in exciting times. The pandemic across the world and specifically in South-East Asia has compelled HyperLive to innovate and drive growth in new emerging technologies. With the rise of E-sports, HyperLive has decided to venture into the E-sports arena to spearhead the growth of the sector and complement their livestreaming capabilities.

**About HyperLive**:
HyperLive is an OTT licensed platform that runs branding campaigns for brands and businesses by leveraging on technologies such as livestreaming and 3D environments.

As part of the leadership team, the role leads the strategic planning function by assessing a broad range of trends and issues that span across the E-sports sector through strategic insights to develop winning strategies that will have a significant impact on the business.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and grow the E-sports vertical within the organisation
- Drive growth through various partnerships in the E-sports industry
- Manage and train the E-sports athletes

**The day-to-day activities**:

- Manage the vertical day to day operation
- Develop and/ or update the business vertical’s strategies on a periodic cadence, by synthesizing:

- I. Internal business performance and competencies
- II. External trends (market, customer, competitor, regulatory, technological etc)
- Provide inputs and advise the operating team on key issues (e.g. strategic initiatives and major investments) based on clear issue framing, systems-level thinking and rigorous analyses
- Bridge business opportunities with product development via a keen grasp of the business imperatives and clear understanding of the possibilities and / or limitations of technology
- Support managers on BU-level strategy and facilitate cross-pollination of best practice and approaches
- Lead the development of experimental business opportunities including development of baseline capabilities, definition of the parameters of success and ensuring smooth transition to operations
- Execute the vertical planning rhythm to ensure follow-through of the functional deliverables via discussions, updates and action-tracking
- Actively and independently engage with company senior executives to communicate the vertical’s vision, identify new opportunities and to seek alignment on strategic priorities
- Influence a high-performance company culture by challenging critical business assumptions and encouraging cross-functional collaboration

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 3 years of experience leading and managing E-sports companies and teams
- Proven track record with evidence of accolades in the E-sports sector
- Experience in both skills, performance, and mental training of E-sports athletes
- Experience in setting up training facilities & E-sports academy
- Strong leadership ability with a background in strategic thinking & analytics
- Demonstrated problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilities
- Experience with hands-on engagement, strong interpersonal skills
