**DEPT/SECTION** : Research
**STATEMENT OF PURPOSE**:
To support research activities in community-engaged projects aiming to improve nutrition and physical activity in vulnerable seniors.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
**(A) SPECIFIC (100%)**
- Conduct literature search in relevant topics.
- Develop / adapt survey tools which are culturally sensitive to seniors in Singapore.
- Collect and analyse qualitative (e.g., in-depth interviews, focus group discussions) and/or quantitative (e.g., questionnaire, clinical measurements) data.
- Write reports, manuscripts and other forms of written materials for research dissemination.
**JOB REQUIREMENTS**:
**(A) EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE**
- Essential: research experience in health and/or social care
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in social work, health sciences or social sciences
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good presentation and writing skills
- Work experience in community-based health and social care sectors will be an advantage
**(B) SPECIALISED TRAINING & EXPERIENCE**
- Trained in qualitative and/or quantitative research methodology
- For qualitative research: experience conducting interviews and focus group discussions with seniors will be an advantage
- For quantitative research: familiarity with STATA or R will be an advantage
