**Get to Know the Role**_:_**
The Market Analyst (Data) is someone who is:
- Passionate about solving complex and ambiguous problems.
- Intellectually curious - voracious in the consumption of available information, relentless in searching for new sources, exploring new ways of using technology to improve efficiency, and constantly striving to derive additional insights.
- Comfortable with failing and possess the drive to keep trying.
- Critical in thinking and with a sharp eye for detail.
- Energetic and thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced working environment.
- Strong in communication skills (both written and oral).
The Market Analyst (Data) must also have:
- Strong data query/wrangling skills using SQL and Python/R, and data visualisation using tools like Tableau and PowerBI.
- Strong skills in designing and operationalising data collection and validation processes.
- Strong skills in designing, building, and scaling ETL pipelines using tools like Airflow/Databricks/Python scripts.
- At least 5-8 years of relevant experience (familiarity with technology platform services and/or e-commerce is a plus)
**The day-to-day activities**:
- Conceptualise and build different capabilities that help to enrich and improve sensemaking of the external business environment.
- Support ad-hoc projects to deep-dive unique data sets and generate insights for strategic initiatives.
- Support the team’s organic data infrastructure requirements.
- Augment the team’s routine analytical capacity in uncovering strategic and operational insights on various business verticals, regional markets, competitors, and any aspect of the external environment via our unique data sets.
