**Research Technologist (F&B, Cross Categories), Singapore**:

- As a Research Technologist, you will collaborate closely with cross functional teams such as Flavorists and Application Technologists on reactive projects across cross categories of food and flavor samples involving various flavor stability issues. With the experiment outcomes, you are expected to provide report to internal stakeholders. You will also be conducting research projects to develop in-house capabilities and knowledge in the food and flavor stability area. These research projects will help to improve product development efficiency and to engage with our Global and Regional customers with our cutting-edge research. You are expected to conduct complex data analysis and interpretation to provide useful information for product developers and key customers. For both reactive and research projects, you will need to conduct and evaluate various flavors and products using suitable sensory evaluation methods. This role will report directly to Senior Research Technologist.**The Position**:

- Contribute to reactive business growth and business protection projects related to food and flavor stability through conducting accelerated shelf-life tests using in-house technology
- Handle reactive projects involving shelf-life extension and product stability improvement
- Support in troubleshooting quality issues related to flavor stability with QA/QC and product developers
- Work on customer collaboration projects for product stability testing, improvements activities and testing method development
- Design and develop new accelerated shelf-life testing methods for food and flavor using in-house technology
- Innovate and conduct mid-to-long term research to support knowledge development in food and flavor stability research areas to support business growth with the use of in-house technology and various equipment
- Support and collaborate with other research and technical functions in various food and flavor stability and performance topics
- Plan and execute experiments, and deliver results with detailed research reports for all projects
- Take responsibility as required for specific projects and/or specific tasks in general laboratory administration and management
- Be responsible for health, safety, hygiene, ethical and financial integrity of all projects involved
- Recognize the needs and desire to undertake personal development as the role develops
- Bachelor’s Degree Food Science & Technology, Chemistry and / or Biological Sciences or equivalent field
- Minimum 5 years of research and / or relevant industry experiences with broad food and flavor science knowledge and understanding
- Demonstrate ability and proven track record in conducting mid-to-long term research project linking various results to flavor stability understanding.
- Familiar with various sensory evaluation methods
- Able to use statistical tools to support projects
- Have experience in using physical measurement equipment such as particle size analyzer and texture analyzer is a plus
- Good communication skills, both written and spoken to effectively present research outcomes to internal and external stakeholders
- Strong team player, independent, proactive and enjoy hands-on lab work
- Strong analytical ability, curious, passionate, determined and persevere in achieving research goals
