Laboratory Intern

**Purpose statement**:
To assist and support in the oligonucleotide manufacturing processes.
**Essential Functions**:
Performing cleaning and recycling of plates used in production.
Perform the cleaning and filling of tubes into motorman racks and HPLC trays.
Chemical Synthesis of short strands of DNA (Oligonucleotides).
Post synthesis processing.
QC sampling & Yield quantification.
Filling of disposable plastics such as pipette tips
Other duties assigned by management.
Practice safe work practices and comply with IDT safety policy.
Comply with IDT’s Quality Policy and adhere to ISO 9001 Standards & requirements.
**Education**:
Diploma in science related field or an equivalent combination of education & experience required.
**Professional Experience**:
Must have the ability to learn the basic knowledge of laboratory manufacturing processes.
Must be comfortable working with chemicals and follow proper safety and handling instructions.
Other Job Qualifications
Have good computer skills and the ability to multitask.
Possess the ability to adapt to changes in the process.
Must be able to interact in a professional manner with employees, and all levels of management.
Be able to work in a group or independently.
