About Us

Playful Genius Learning Academy is the first tuition centre in Singapore that focuses on helping active learners take ownership of their learning through reflective learning.

We don't just teach academic content — we teach children how to think, reflect, and grow into confident, independent learners.

Role Overview

We are looking for tutors who believe teaching is more than giving answers — it's guiding children to find their own.

You will conduct English lessons in small-group or one-to-one settings using positive, reflective communication that builds focus, responsibility, and motivation.

You'll Be a Great Fit If You Are

  • Excited to work with learners aged 6 to 12
  • A systematic thinker or willing to learn how to teach in a structured, step-by-step way rather than relying only on assessment-book practice
  • Open-minded and eager to learn reflective teaching frameworks that promote independent learning
  • Able to adapt to different learning behaviours and communication styles
  • Patient, consistent, and committed to helping every child progress at their own pace
  • Interested in developing long-term teaching and communication skills

Requirements

  • Minimum commitment of 1 year after confirmation
  • University undergraduates are welcome to apply (Class schedules can be rearranged to fit university timetables as it changes each semester)
  • Both experienced and first-time tutors are encouraged to apply
  • Must be willing to attend training and observation sessions before teaching independently
  • Most classes takes place on weekday 3-8pm, and weekend 10am-4pm. So you need to be available on at least one of these day and time.
