Informatica ETL Developer

Solution & Design of ETL based solutions for Big Data & Teradata based applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for peer-review of mappings and workflows when required.
  • Maintains development and test data environments by populating the data based on project requirements.
  • Works with production control and operations as needed to promote mappings/workflows, implement schedules and resolve the issues.
  • Define, design, and implement changes to an enterprise wide Informatica Data Quality application
  • Estimate engineering effort, plan implementation, and rollout system changes that meet requirements for functionality, performance, scalability, reliability, and adherence to development goals and principles
     
Requirements
  • A minimum of 8 -10 years' experience in ETL Development with 4-6 years of experience in developing and configuring Informatica Big Data Management (BDM)/MDM and Informatica Designer (10. X or above) and other Informatica tools.
  • Knowledge of building ETL using Teradata Database.
  • Knowledge on creating shell scripts for ETL job executions & processing.
  • Analytical & Problem solving skills.
  • Must be able to independently administer, configure and test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes.
  • Must be able to independently design and develop tools to aid in operations and automation as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver innovative solutions to complex business and technical challenges
  • Proven ability to work independently in a dynamic environment with multiple assigned projects and tasks.
  • Ability to develop complex mappings and workflows in accordance with requirements.
  • Facilitate information gathering sessions and provide data analysis and data mapping.
  • Identify data sources, develop and maintain data architectures, constructs data catalog and data decomposition diagrams, provide data flow diagrams and documents the process.
  • Strong understanding of MDM concepts, Object Oriented design and programming, data modeling, entity-relationship diagrams.
  • Knowledge with SOAP and/or RESTful web services.
  • Knowledge in implementing data quality processes including transliteration, parsing, analysis, standardization and data enrichment using IDQ transformations.
  • Knowledge in data profiling to identify data anomalies and preparing IDQ scorecards.
  • Knowledge of Informatica EDC is desirable.
