Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Creation: Develop G-code or machine instructions using CAD/CAM software based on 3D models and blueprints.
  • Blueprint Analysis: Review and interpret technical drawings and 3D models to understand part geometry and specifications.
  • Process Planning: Determine the sequence of operations and select the correct cutting tools and parameters (like feed rates and spindle speeds) for optimal machining.
  • Calculations: Perform necessary mathematical calculations to ensure accurate material removal.
  • Simulation & Testing: Run simulations or test programs to verify the code and identify potential errors before production.
  • Troubleshooting: Address and resolve issues that arise during the machining process.
  • Collaboration: Communicate with engineers and other team members to refine designs and processes.
  • Custom Fixtures: Design custom jigs and fixtures as needed for specific manufacturing tasks.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD/CAM software, knowledge of CNC machine operations (milling, turning), and G-code.
