Responsibilities:

  1. Quantity Take-Off:

  2. Measure and calculate quantities of materials, labor, and equipment from drawings (BOQ – Bill of Quantities).

  3. Perform site measurement and verification.

  4. Cost Estimation and Budgeting:

  5. Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil works (concrete, formwork, rebar, earthworks, etc.).

  6. Assist in project budgeting and cash flow forecasting.

  7. Tendering and Procurement Support:

  8. Prepare tender documents and evaluate contractor or supplier quotations.

  9. Assist in procurement and selection of subcontractors or materials.

  10. Contract Management:

  11. Interpret contract terms and ensure compliance.

  12. Administer contracts including claims, variations, and extensions of time.

  13. Progress and Valuation Reporting:

  14. Prepare monthly valuation reports and interim payment certificates.

  15. Monitor site progress and compare with planned schedules and budget.

  16. Cost Control:

  17. Monitor project expenses to prevent cost overruns.

  18. Provide cost-saving recommendations and track variations.

  19. Site Coordination and Inspection:

  20. Liaise with site engineers, consultants, and contractors to verify work done.

  21. Attend site meetings to ensure work aligns with cost and scope.

  22. Final Account and Project Closure:

  23. Prepare and settle final accounts with contractors.

  24. Ensure all project documentation and records are complete.

Skills Required:
  • Strong understanding of civil construction methods.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Cubit).
  • Analytical and numerical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in measurements.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
