Full Stack Developer (Contract)

Overview

Our client is seeking highly motivated Full Stack Developers to join their team in delivering IT solutions for both internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidates will work closely with fellow developers, a Technical Lead, Product Owner, and Delivery Manager in an Agile environment. This role provides exposure to end-to-end software delivery, including solution design, CI/CD pipeline configuration, frontend and backend development, and test automation.

Our client is hiring two headcounts for this role:

  • 1 x 9-month contract
  • 1 x 12-month contract

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, test, and deliver enterprise-grade applications.
  • Participate in solution design discussions, contributing to architecture decisions.
  • Develop scalable and maintainable frontend and backend applications using modern technology stacks.
  • Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
  • Apply DevSecOps practices by integrating security considerations from the design stage onwards.
  • Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure code quality through Test-Driven Development (TDD).
  • Apply application integration patterns such as microservices and event-driven architectures.
  • Optimize application and database performance to ensure scalability and resilience.

Requirements:

Technical Skills

  • Minimum 3 years of frontend and/or backend engineering experience building scalable products.
  • Proficiency in modern web application technologies, particularly:
  • (frontend)
  • Python and FastAPI (backend)
  • AWS Cloud (deployment and architecture

Experience with:

  • Microservices and application integration patterns (e.g., scatter-gather).
  • Containerization (Docker, AWS ECS).
  • Infrastructure as code (Terraform).
  • CI/CD tools (Git, GitLab).
  • Secure-by-Design practices, including SAST/DAST.
  • Automated testing and TDD practices.
  • Performance optimization and tuning of applications and databases.

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to articulate issues and solutions clearly.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working with uncertainties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team player with a collaborative, team-first mentality.
