Workshop Controller

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Workshop Controller to oversee daily operations within our automotive workshop. This key role ensures vehicles are repaired efficiently, safely, and to the highest standard. You will coordinate technician workflows, implement quality control measures, and serve as the technical link between service frontliners and the workshop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Take over vehicles from Service Advisors after job registration
• Assess repair urgency and nature, delegating tasks to workshop teams based on complexity
• Monitor work-in-progress for efficient job flow and minimal downtime
• Review vehicle history and recommend preventive maintenance or part replacements
• Advise Service Advisors on additional repair findings affecting quotations
• Conduct post-repair inspections and test drives to ensure safety and quality
• Ensure repairs follow manufacturer guidelines and workshop SOPs
• Notify Service Advisors when vehicles are ready and verify completion documentation
• Assist in smooth and professional customer handovers when needed

Requirements

• Nitec or Diploma in Automotive Engineering or related field
• 2–4 years' workshop experience, preferably in supervisory or lead role
• Strong automotive diagnostics and repair knowledge
• Proven team leadership and coordination skills
• Attention to detail and quality control focus
• Proficient in workshop software and Microsoft Office
• Valid Singapore Class 3 driving licence
• Singaporean only due to quota

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
• Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM
