The IOT Specialist will join our software delivery team responsible for the design, development and/or deployment of Smart & Safe City software applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Engage business users to gather and evaluate requirements and use cases.
  • Turn requirements and use cases into system architectures and designs.
  • Assist user to translate requirements into functional and technical specifications.
  • Perform risk assessment with business users and provide guidance in terms of cybersecurity and sensor connectivity.
  • Lead the project alongside business users and vendors to ensure project delivery and sustainability.
  • Develop and implement process to ensure smooth operation and security of IoT devices and systems.
  • Perform system administration duties to manage and support highly available ICT infrastructure environment and related operations, which includes monitoring, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, system recoveries and periodic updates and patches of servers.
  • Provide technical leadership through innovation, research, and evaluation of IoT technologies and solutions.
  • Work along side with the stakeholder such as Subject Matters Experts to ensure projects developed are compliance to Customer Requirement.
  • Any other tasks related to IoT/OT as assigned by the supervisors.
  • Involved in full software development life cycle with focus on requirement specification, detailed design, coding, testing, deployment and maintenance support.
  • Participate in on-site deployment of solution at customer site for trial or POC purpose.
  • Work closely with presales team to contribute to technical proposal based on RFP specification.
  • Apply technical best practices to work, constantly explore new technology and methodologies to deliver high quality solution

The ideal profile should have:

  • Recognized qualification in Computer Science or a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in the below technology is preferred.
  • Experienced in development & deployment on commercial cloud such as Amazon Web Services.
  • Experienced with Data Lake/Warehouse Technologies
  • Experienced in Loosely Coupled Architecture and Application Integration Patterns (i.e. microservices) with the ability to design and architect scalable and resilient systems
  • Has exposure to cloud-enabled tools such as Terraform, CI/CD Technologies, Machine Learning/Analytics Services.
  • Understand the concept of Secure-By-Design Lifecycle for Cloud & IoT Devices.
  • IoT/OT protocols such as MQTT, Modbus, LoRa, Zigbee
  • IoT/OT Device Management
