Manufacturing Assistant Engineer | Up to $3.5k | 5 Days | Tuas

  • Salary: $3000 - $3500 (depending on experience)
  • Working hour: Mon–Fri: 8.15am – 5.30pm
  • Working location: Tuas (Transport provided at Lakeside & Boon Lay MRT station)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing manufacturing processes to ensure efficient production output while maintaining product quality, safety standards, and cost-effectiveness.
  • The role involves process improvement, equipment management, and cross-functional collaboration with quality, maintenance, and operations teams.
  • Production Planning: Execute production schedules in coordination with planning and operations teams to meet customer and business demands and goals.
  • Process Optimization: Analyse manufacturing and warehousing processes and workflows for continuous improvement in productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction. Enforce workplace organization standards and good housekeeping practices (5S). Digitalization and integration of the manufacturing process.
  • Quality Assurance: Work closely with the quality department to ensure products meet established quality standards and resolve any production-related quality issues.
  • Equipment & Facility Management: Support maintenance teams for preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Investigate production issues or equipment failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all production activities comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and internal policies, including GMP and ISO requirements as applicable. Oversee risk assessment-based activities and conduct pre-job safety briefings. Serve as the Site Incident Controller (SIC) during emergency response situations.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical support to production teams and operators; assist in training and developing standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • New Product Introduction (NPI): Support scale-up and introduction of new products or processes into the production line.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Collect and analyze production data (e.g., yield, downtime, cycle time) to monitor performance and support decision-making.
  • Cost Control: Monitor resource utilization and production costs to ensure efficient operations and budget adherence.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a Diploma in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • At least one year of experience in a manufacturing setting, advantage to have chemical industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Offices
