Singaporean Only Civil Engineer

Responsibilities:

* Plan, manage, and execute construction and/or maintenance projects, ensuring safe, timely, and sustainable completion, including coordination with nominated subcontractors and vendors

* Develop both long-term and short-term work plans and schedules for assigned tasks and projects

* Conduct site investigations and analyze relevant data including reports, test results, and technical drawings

* Ensure quality standards are met and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including but not limited to method statements, risk assessments, as-built drawings, EQCC, ITP, FIS, and project closure reports

* Manage project cost components such as quotations, bills of quantities (BQs), progress claims, and purchase order (PO) issuance and closure

* Ensure all site activities are conducted safely and in compliance with health and safety regulations

* Resolve technical issues in collaboration with subcontractors, vendors, designers, and consultants

* Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, internal supervisors, and logistics teams from project planning through to final handover and claims

* Plan and allocate project resources including manpower, equipment, and materials

* Monitor project progress and provide regular updates on status and key milestones

* Conduct pre-work preparations, including site visits, scheduling, and documentation such as method statements and risk assessments

* Set project targets and regularly engage with supervisors to align work plans and resource allocation

* Perform regular site inspections to identify and address system or process deficiencies

* Recommend and implement operational improvements such as mechanization, digitalization, and productivity or cost optimization strategies

* Conduct technical and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with specifications and project requirements

* Oversee project handover including managing works during the Defects Liability Period (DLP) or warranty phase

* Manage incident reporting and follow-up for any workplace incidents

* Handle procurement processes including raising Material Requisition Forms (MRFs) and Goods Received Notes (GRNs)

* Verify delivered materials to ensure accuracy against orders

* Attend and actively participate in monthly HSSE committee meetings, raising relevant safety or operational concerns

* Represent the team in internal and external project/site meetings, including preparation of meeting minutes and documentation of key issues

* Address and resolve unforeseen technical challenges or site problems promptly

* Contribute to the organization's growth by taking ownership of new tasks and identifying opportunities to enhance project outcomes

* Assist in tender preparation, including submission of technical documents, project schedules, and any additional materials required for bid submissions

Requirements:

* Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification recognized by the Professional Engineers Board Singapore

* Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant site experience in civil engineering projects

* Strong technical aptitude and excellent problem-solving skills

* Ability to work independently and collaboratively, with strong interpersonal and coordination skills to manage cross-functional teams

* Proficiency in project scheduling software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera, or equivalent is an advantage
