Noah's Ark CARES (NAC), with other AWGs have come together for a landmark Trap-and-Neuter project on a restricted island. We are hiring a Shelter Officer under the employment of NAC:

As a Shelter Officer, your duties include:

  • Feeding and cleaning of dogs at shelters and feeding of dogs at designated parts of island
  • Medicating/care-taking of the dogs when necessary thus dog handling is a must
  • Ferrying of dogs in and out of island on an ad-hoc basis
  • To work with respective Animal Welfare Groups' Shelter Officers on the project

Requirements for the role:

  • Experienced with handling (big) dogs
  • Passionate about animal welfare, especially stray dogs management
  • Able to work independently and responsibly
  • Ownership of a vehicle is compulsory for travelling to, and within the island.

Do note that we only have a part-time vacancy at the moment. Working environment is outdoor based. Working days for part-timers are two to three weekdays plus either Saturday or Sunday every week (working on weekends is compulsory). A transport allowance will be given.
