What the Internship Programme will look like
Our 12-week internship programme enables you to develop valuable professional skills and learn what it's like to work in a high-impact professional services organization. Gain technical and practical business skills to help you succeed in the future and have opportunities to network with other team members, managers and leaders. You will also benefit from real-world experience through opportunities to work on projects as well as participate in client meetings.
Our internship provides comprehensive training and the opportunity to secure a place on our graduate programme or a regular hire, subject to your performance and business need. A large proportion of our candidates go on to enjoy a career with us.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
We're looking for a diverse group of students with varying experiences, backgrounds and strengths to ensure we continue to offer the most innovative solutions to our clients. If you have a high level of commercial awareness, lots of ambition and an enthusiastic approach, we want to hear from you.
This programme is ideal for students who are in their penultimate year of university, but we also welcome first-year applicants.
Our ECG team is at the forefront of changing how we work together on behalf of clients. This is a highly coordinated approach across all solution lines and geographies that's allowing us to explore unmet client needs in ways we've not been able to before. We can then scale those outcomes to similar clients or across industries.
- Work closely with Enterprise Client Consultants, Enterprise Client Leaders, Finance and Operations to manage client data and reporting
- Support regional teams on a specific set of clients, ensuring overall understanding of client dynamics, priorities & opportunities
- Support creation of client team deliverables (both internal & external)
- Performs day-to-day execution and task completion; provides frequent status updates to relevant ECLs, and responsible for timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Expected to serve as back-up support (even if not directly aligned) for other regions
- In addition to on-the-job training, our interns actively participate, along with their fellow intern colleagues, in a formal Development Plan. This provides interns:
- An understanding of the basic functions and types of clients within Aon's businesses
- An understanding of Aon's ethical standards
- Training geared toward enabling interns to demonstrate an ability to work in a professional business environment
- Opportunities to network with fellow peers, Aon colleagues and executive leadership at program social events and interactive speaker forums
- Opportunities to learn and utilize Aon's internal systems
- Opportunities to demonstrate interpersonal and team building skills through many networking events
