About Team:

The Special Chemistry Department provides a good overview of the various immunological techniques from automation to manual testing applied in clinical trials. You will learn about the various assays and their applications which are essential for clinical and commercial application which has facilitated the discovery of new diagnostics and treatments to manage a wide array of diseases.

Internship Assignment Summary:

• Student will gain clinical experience working in the laboratory of a drug development company.
• Good understanding of clinical testing from sample collection to testing and the use of different tests.
• Student will be trained in protein electrophoresis techniques and interpretation of results in Multiple Myeloma.
• Trained in the operation and maintenance of multiple analyzers.
• Perform quality control testing, instrument maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Attend laboratory modules linked to quality control management, pipetting skills and the various informatics labware.
• Engage in professional development workshops to enhance your soft skills and professional presence.
• Instruction and mentorship will be provided.
• At the end of training, the student will do presentation to fulfill his/her understanding in the training/project assignment.

Education/Qualifications/Skills

• Open to current undergraduate with Bachelor of Science degree (Biological Sciences/Biomedical).
• Good organization and multitasking ability.
• Able to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Creative and self-motivated individual who works collaboratively in a high performance team environment.
