We integrate microbiology, bioprocessing, analytical sciences, and formulation to translate antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) into safe, effective products.Role: Scientist (PhD) — Antimicrobial PeptidesLocation: Biopolis, Singapore (on-site) • Type: Full-timeWhat you'll doPeptide discovery: plan and run hit-finding strategies (literature/natural-source mining, rational design), build screening funnels, and prioritize candidates.Strain engineering for production: design/edit microbial hosts (e.g., cloning, promoter/RBS tuning, CRISPR edits, pathway balancing) to improve yield and quality.Design and execute assays and characterization; ensure data integrity and clear go/no-go criteria.Lead purification/analytics (e.g., chromatography, HPLC/LC-MS) and guide transfer to formulation & QC teams for prototype/stability testing.Maintain SOPs/batch records/ELN; communicate progress, risks, and next steps; contribute to IP and publications.QualificationsPhD in Microbiology or Molecular BiologyHands-on antimicrobial or peptide R&D; comfort with cloning/editing and host-strain optimization.Familiar with modern analytics/purification; strong experimental design, statistics, and reporting.Organized, proactive, and effective in a fast, milestone-driven environment.Nice to haveExperience with anaerobe handling or dermatology/topical R&D.DoE for strain/process optimization; familiarity with basic quality systems.Job Types: Full-time, Fresh graduatePay: $6, $9,000.00 per monthBenefits:Promotion to permanent employeeWork Location: In personExpected Start Date: 18/12/2025
