Job Overview:

We are looking for a Junior Baker / Pastry Cook to join our team. The role involves assisting in the daily preparation and baking of breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts for large-scale meal production. Suitable for candidates who are passionate about baking and keen to grow their skills in a high-volume institutional kitchen environment.


Responsibilities:
  • Assist in preparing and baking breads, rolls, cakes, and pastries according to recipes.
  • Support large-scale production for functions, buffets, and meal services.
  • Maintain quality, taste, and presentation standards.
  • Ensure cleanliness and proper hygiene of the work area and equipment.
  • Assist in receiving and storing bakery ingredients properly.
  • Follow all food safety and workplace safety procedures.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations.

Requirements:
  • Some experience or training in baking/pastry preferred (fresh graduates welcome).
  • Interest in large-scale catering or central kitchen production.
  • Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Physically fit and able to handle kitchen tasks.
  • Willing to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Certificate / Diploma in Baking & Pastry or Culinary Arts.
  • Basic knowledge of food hygiene and HACCP standards.
