Location: ATOP Academy, East Coast
Employment Type: Part-Time
Working Days: Weekdays & Weekends

About the Role

ATOP Academy is looking for dedicated and inspiring Humanities Senior Tutors to join our teaching team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons in Literature, History, or Geography at the Secondary or JC level. Your role will be essential in helping students build critical thinking skills, excel academically, and develop a genuine interest in the humanities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver subject lessons using interactive, inquiry-based, and student-centered approaches.
  • Teach Literature, History, or Geography in alignment with the academy's curriculum and learning outcomes.
  • Prepare and customize lesson materials, learning aids, and assessment tools.
  • Track and evaluate student progress, providing clear, constructive feedback for improvement.
  • Inspire student engagement and foster an appreciation for humanities subjects.
  • Communicate effectively with parents/guardians on student progress when necessary.
  • Participate in curriculum development and academic enhancement initiatives.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree from a recognized university, preferably from a Singapore local government university (e.g., NUS, NTU, SMU, SUSS, SIT, SUTD) or equivalent.
  • Strong academic foundation in Literature, History, or Geography.
  • Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
  • Committed to continuous improvement in pedagogy and professional development.
  • Approachable, enthusiastic, and adaptable with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage.
