Senior Technician

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise panel mounting/leveling, cable tray/conduit routing, cable pulling, glanding/terminations, earthing and labelling
  • Ensure wiring segregation, ferruling, torquing to spec, panel ventilation/derating and tidy housekeeping
  • Perform continuity/insulation tests, polarity checks, power-up sequences, and panel QA
  • Set instrument ranges (4-20 mA), calibrate loops, simulate DI/DO, and verify interlocks per cause & effect
  • Configure basic network items
  • Assist FAT/SAT, record results, clear defects, and drive punch-list to closure
  • Provide daily site reports and contribute to O&M pack preparation

Requirements:

  • Minimally Nitec/Higher Nitec in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Control & Instrumentation
  • 5 years of industrial installation/commissioning experience
  • Read P&IDs, single-line and wiring diagrams
  • Working knowledge of Modbus RTU/TCP and basic IP networking
  • Strong documentation discipline, neat workmanship, and ability to mentor juniors
  • Class 3/3A license preferred, willing to work island-wide and during night/weekend shutdowns
