As a Senior Inspector – Mechanical & HVAC, you will perform and lead inspection activities for Mechanical and HVAC systems during fabrication, installation, and commissioning phases of offshore and marine projects (including FPSOs, platforms, and newbuild vessels). Ensure compliance with project specifications, international standards, and quality requirements.

Responsibilities:

· Conduct inspection and verification of all Mechanical and HVAC works, including fabrication, assembly, installation, and pre-commissioning.

· Review and validate inspection test plans (ITP), method statements, and quality records from subcontractors and vendors.

· Perform inspections on:

· Mechanical equipment: pumps, compressors, valves, rotating and static equipment.

· HVAC systems: air handling units, ducting, dampers, insulation, and control systems.

· Piping and pressure systems related to HVAC and mechanical packages.

· Ensure all inspection and test activities comply with project specifications, codes (ASME, API, ISO, SMACNA), and client requirements.

· Supervise and guide junior inspectors to ensure consistent inspection methodology and documentation.

· Liaise with Engineering, Construction, Commissioning, and Client QA/QC representatives for inspection coordination and acceptance.

· Identify and report non-conformities, perform root cause analysis, and verify corrective actions.

· Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and system walkdowns.

· Ensure proper traceability, documentation, and turnover dossiers for Mechanical & HVAC systems.

· Support HSE practices and maintain safe work conditions during all inspection activities.

Requirements

· Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

· Minimum 8–10 years of experience in inspection for Mechanical and HVAC systems within the offshore, shipyard, or oil & gas fabrication industry.

· In-depth knowledge of:

· HVAC standards (ASHRAE, SMACNA, ISO 14644, NORSOK).

· Mechanical equipment codes (ASME Sec. VIII, API 610, API 617, PED).

· Welding and NDT awareness.

· Familiar with FPSO, topside modules, or offshore platform construction.

· Experienced in interpreting P&IDs, GA drawings, and data sheets.

· Strong communication and documentation skills.

· Certified Inspector (CSWIP/BGAS/ASME/NACE) is an advantage.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office and inspection database systems

· Open to working at Tuas Boulevard Yard

Job Type: Contract

Contract length: 6 months

Pay: $6, $8,000.00 per month
