Central Kitchen (Tai Seng) ~ Storekeeper
Core Responsibilities

1. Inventory Management & Control

  • Tracking and Recording: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all stock (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
  • Stock Levels: Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels for all ingredients and supplies to prevent shortages or excessive waste.
  • Physical Counts: Conduct regular cycle counts and periodic full physical inventories to reconcile stock records with physical inventory.

2. Receiving and Inspection

  • Goods Receipt: Receive all incoming deliveries of food products, packaging, and non-food supplies.
  • Quality Check: Inspect delivered items against purchase orders, ensuring quantity, expiration dates, temperature, and quality standards meet specifications. Reject and return damaged or substandard goods.
  • Documentation: Process and file all receiving documents (invoices, delivery notes) promptly and accurately.

3. Storage and Organization

  • Hygienic Storage: Ensure all food items are stored correctly in designated areas (dry stores, refrigerated rooms, freezers) according to safety and sanitation standards (HACCP).
  • FIFO Enforcement: Strictly implement the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system to minimize spoilage and waste.
  • Cleanliness: Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and security of all storage areas (storerooms, walk-in fridges, freezers).

4. Issuing and Disbursement

  • Order Fulfillment: Prepare and issue ingredients and materials to the production or preparation teams based on approved requisitions or daily production schedules.
  • Accuracy: Ensure the correct quantity and type of items are issued to avoid errors in batch production.
  • Records: Accurately record all outgoing stock movements to maintain the integrity of the inventory system.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene standards, and different food storage requirements (e.g., temperatures for various perishables).
  • Physical: Ability to lift and move heavy supplies and spend long periods standing or walking.
  • Skills: Proficiency in inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems) and basic computer skills.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to counting, quality checking, and documentation
