Key Responsibilities1. SAP ERP (ECC / S/4HANA) – Tax Implementation Lead
- Lead and support all tax-related aspects of a major SAP ERP implementation project.
- Apply hands-on experience with SAP ECC or S/4HANA, especially in large-scale ERP deployments.
- Contribute to tax configuration, tax accounting workflows and integration of tax processes within the new SAP environment.
- (Advantage) Familiarity with S/4HANA, SAP Global Tax Solutions, and SAP DRC.
- Provide comprehensive tax advisory support across direct, indirect, and customs tax categories.
- Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations, including accurate tax filings, payments, and reporting.
- Advise the local CFO and accounting teams on tax matters such as compliance, returns, tax accounting, and forecasting.
- Manage tax audits and any ongoing tax litigation matters.
- Collaborate with Group and Zone Tax teams as well as external advisors for issue resolution.
- Identify potential tax risks and implement effective tax risk management strategies.
- Maintain complete tax documentation aligned with local and international requirements.
- Stay up to date with changes in tax legislation and regulatory frameworks.
- Provide timely insights, impact assessments, and recommendations to relevant business stakeholders.
- Suggest tax optimization initiatives while ensuring compliance.
- Work closely with the Zone Tax Director (based in Singapore) on regional tax strategies and initiatives.
- Participate in cross-border tax projects, contributing to process improvement and tax optimization across the Zone.
- Share best practices to enhance regional tax processes.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and relevant government agencies.
- Oversee external tax consultants to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide tax guidance for business projects and transactions to support informed decision-making.
- 5–10 years of relevant tax experience, ideally within international or multinational environments.
- Proven involvement in SAP ECC or S/4HANA implementation projects, including tax and accounting process integration.
- Strong understanding of direct, indirect, and customs tax requirements.
- Solid knowledge of local tax laws and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and solution-oriented mindset.
- Able to work independently and effectively within a regional team.
- Experience with SAP Global Tax Solutions (e.g., SAP DRC) is a strong advantage.
- Multinational company experience is preferred.
