JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Define and drive data governance program to help Keppelites manage data securely, responsibly & easily while ensuring adherence to data-related policies & regulations.
  • Responsible for defining data policies and standards, managing stakeholder communication and progress reporting to leadership and executives.
  • Drive transformation & culture change through understanding user behaviors and designing clear procedures to facilitate adoption.
  • Manage and coordinate all key issues and escalations around data governance.
  • Work closely with IT & Data BP's s to build their engagement and stewardship of data assets.
  • Drive Data Governance and Management on an on-going basis through the Data Governance Council.
  • Collaborate with our Cybersecurity and technology operations teams to implement data governance standards and best practices.
  • Leverage deep experience in the implementation of data governance solutions in such areas as: data quality, data lineage, data glossary, data security management, metadata management, and advanced data analysis solutions.
  • Write data governance policies, oversee the adoption of data governance efforts, and partner with the legal and information security teams to fulfill Keppel's commitments related to reducing Data Management risks.
  • As the role requires close collaboration with senior-level executives (members of DG Councils/C-Suite), business data owners, and stewards, it is a must-have to be an excellent communicator who can drive the process to govern data at enterprise scale.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Min. 10+ years of experience in a leadership role related to data.
  • Min. 5 years of experience either in leading a data governance function or being part of a team that managed large-scale data governance initiatives; with expertise in data governance, data quality industry best practices and framework.
