We are currently looking for a dedicated Network Engineer based in Singapore to join our team. This critical role involves providing continuous maintenance and field support, ensuring that our clients experience uninterrupted service. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with rotating shifts and on call work, with the skills and commitment required to keep networks running smoothly at all times.

Position Summary

The Network Engineer will be responsible for providing around the clock maintenance and onsite support for Apeiro's network infrastructure solutions. This role involves hands on troubleshooting, scheduled maintenance, and emergency repairs for DWDM, Metro Ethernet, and Time & Synchronization equipment. Working on a rotational shift schedule, you'll ensure our clients' systems stay operational, while resolving issues swiftly to maintain the highest service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

24x7 Network Monitoring and Support:

• Provide continuous monitoring of network systems, responding to incidents and outages as they arise.
• Perform immediate troubleshooting and repairs to minimize downtime, escalating issues to specialized teams if necessary.
• Work on a rotational shift basis, including night shifts and weekends, to ensure constant support availability.

Field Installation and Maintenance:

• Install, configure, and maintain DWDM, Metro Ethernet, and Time & Synchronization equipment at client locations, ensuring optimal performance and alignment with technical specifications.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance to keep systems functioning efficiently and to prevent service disruptions.
• Respond to emergency field service requests, arriving promptly onsite to perform diagnostics and repairs.

Client Communication and Support:

• Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, keeping them informed of maintenance activities, system status, and issue resolution.
• Conduct basic training for clients on system use and maintenance, as required.

Documentation and Reporting:

• Maintain detailed logs of maintenance activities, incidents, and resolutions to support continuous improvement.
• Prepare regular reports on system performance, service incidents, and maintenance activities for internal review and client updates.

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance or field engineering, with a focus on network infrastructure, DWDM, Metro Ethernet, or Time & Synchronization.
• Strong knowledge of network protocols, diagnostic tools, and maintenance techniques specific to DWDM and Ethernet networks.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively and efficiently in high pressure situations.
• Willingness to work a rotating 24x7 shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Effective communicator, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients and collaborate with internal teams.
• Highly organized and detail oriented, with a commitment to maintaining accurate and thorough documentation.
• Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of additional regional languages is advantageous.
• Ability to travel locally for onsite support as needed.
