Job Description
The Institute of Policy Studies (IPS) is a policy research think tank within the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore. IPS is seeking a Field Executive for its Social Lab department, on a yearly renewable contract. This role supports the Field Manager in executing fieldwork duties for research projects and overseeing a team of interviewers to ensure the collection of high-quality and timely data through face-to-face, door-to-door, and computer-assisted telephone interviews usinh structured questionnaires
Key responsibilites include:
- Assist the Field Manager with project setup and planning;
- Coordinate and oversee fieldwork activities to ensure smooth execution;
- Recruit, train, and supervise field interviewers to meet project timelines and quality standards;
- Brief and supervise interviewers on fieldwork assignments;
- Monitor and ensure the accuracy and quality of collected data;
- Manage project resources efficiently to achieve timely completion of fieldwork;
- Verify data accuracy and acceptability before processing payments to interviewers snad/or recruiters.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a Degree or its equivalent;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a positive and proactive attitude;
- Demonstrated ability in team motivation, supervision and leadership;
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines;
- Willingness to travel for field supervision and coordination;
- Prior experience in fieldwork operations or data collection management will be an advantage;
- Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
- Strong command of English with proficiency in at least one additional language - Chinese, Malay, or Tamil
