Assistant Category Marketing Manager

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute annual brand activity and promotional strategies across retail and distribution channels, ensuring smooth and effective implementation in line with commercial objectives.
  • Analyse campaign and promotional performance using sales data and key metrics; generate insightful post-campaign reports to optimise future activity and maximise ROI.
  • Own promotion analysis and reporting, including ROI and cost-efficiency reviews, to ensure marketing investments deliver measurable impact.
  • Oversee the procurement and timely delivery of cost-effective marketing assets across all stores; ensure accurate uploading of promotion briefs to internal systems and flawless in-store execution.
  • Build and nurture strong vendor relationships to unlock new marketing opportunities, secure promotional support, and drive commercial growth.
  • Stay informed of digital trends and opportunities; integrate digital marketing strategies to enhance campaign reach and secure additional investments.
What You Bring
  • A degree in Business, Marketing, or a related discipline, with at least 3 years of hands-on marketing experience in the Retail or FMCG industry.
  • Proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio, and Teams.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across cross-functional teams.
  • Sound analytical capabilities and business acumen, with a keen eye for detail and cost efficiency.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Highly organised and methodical approach to work, with a strong focus on execution and outcomes.
