Machine Operator

• Set up the membrane extruder machine according to production specifications, including loading raw materials, adjusting machine settings, and ensuring proper calibration.
• Operate the extrusion machine to produce membrane products, ensuring optimal parameters for temperature, pressure, and speed are maintained for quality output.
• Monitor the entire extrusion process, adjusting as needed to ensure consistent product quality and smooth operation
• Prepare and load materials (such as polymers, additives, and solvents) into the extruder machine, ensuring correct formulations and measurements based on production requirements.
• Inspect finished products for defects, dimensions, and overall quality in compliance with industry standards.
• Conduct routine tests on the extruded membranes to ensure they meet customer and regulatory specifications (e.g., thickness, porosity).
• Make necessary adjustments to the extrusion process to maintain high-quality output.
• Perform routine maintenance on the extruder machine, including cleaning, lubrication, and changing parts as needed.
• Identify and troubleshoot mechanical or operational issues with the machine, resolving minor issues and reporting more complex problems to the maintenance team.
• Record production data, including machine settings, product quantities, and any operational issues or downtime.
• Prepare production reports for supervisors and provide feedback for process improvement.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and operational procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• Knowledge of extrusion processes, machinery, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Basic understanding of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems related to extruder operation.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, machine schematics, and blueprints.
• Previous experience in machine operation, preferably in an extrusion or manufacturing environment, is highly preferred.
• Experience working with polymer extrusion, filtration membranes, or related processes is an advantage.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in machine operation or a related field is a plus.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Physical ability to lift, carry, and move materials of varying weights and sizes.
• Experience on ERP systems (SAP) is advantageous
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and/or overtime as needed.
