Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategically procure containers and optimize their lifecycle management to ensure cost-effective and efficient operations
  • Handle container procurement tender and container delivery management
  • Handle lease portfolio optimization including lease expiration management, portfolio optimization, contract analysis, process improvement, data analysis, and record keeping
  • Keep track of financial operational performance including budget management, performance monitoring and reporting, as well as compliance and risk management
  • Manage improvement on business process and system development
  • Manage the collection, processing and analysis of large datasets to develop strategic insights related to container procurement and asset management
  • Design and implement reporting and dashboards utilizing operational data to support data-driven decision-making
  • Support team management, identifying and addressing roadblocks, and fostering a sense of shared accountability to achieve shared goals
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks and assignments as delegated by the Manager

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related fields
  • Liner shipping experience in managing container procurement or related field highly advantageous
  • Practical experience in handling and analyzing large-scale datasets
  • Proficient in Google Workspace tools (Sheets/Docs/Slides) and MS Excel/Word/PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills to communicate effectively with multicultural teams and internal/external parties
  • Highly organized, able to prioritize tasks, manage time and deadlines, and multi-task effectively
  • Detail-oriented, able to identify and analyze problems, develop solutions and make sound decisions
  • Continuously open to learn and apply new technologies and methodologies to enhance business processes
  • Experience in data tools such as Tableau and Looker preferred
  • Proficiency in SQL and/or programming languages like Python for data manipulation, analysis, and statistical modeling preferred
