Our client is seeking a Trade Compliance Specialist to join their team

Join a dynamic international trade environment where you'll ensure businesses follow relevant industry and government regulations while monitoring compliance activities and advising leadership on compliance matters. This is an excellent opportunity to apply your compliance expertise in the APAC region while working with government agencies, managing import/export processes, and developing training programs in a structured office environment.

What you'll be doing?
  • Documentation Management: Handle data entry and prepare documentation for merchandise classification, creating procedures to ensure consistent and accurate import/export processes.
  • Issue Resolution: Monitor and coordinate with various stakeholders to resolve discrepancies in quantities, cartons, seals, and manifests.
  • Compliance Reporting: Prepare and file compliance reports, address client concerns, and communicate with government agencies about compliance statuses.
  • Risk Assessment: Gather information on risks, review product and project statuses, and resolve compliance issues using analytical thinking.
  • Training Development: Create and deliver employee training programs on compliance matters, develop standard operating procedures, and maintain compliance records.
  • Leadership Support: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert, advising company leaders on compliance matters and presenting updates on company processes.
Who are they looking for?
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in regulatory requirements and business operations.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum 5 years in the compliance field, with deep understanding of APAC region regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge of laws, legal codes, and regulatory standards essential for ensuring full compliance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications, analytical thinking, communication, and attention to detail.
  • Professional Certification: CRCMP certification preferred, demonstrating advanced expertise in compliance.
