Job Title: IT Helpdesk I
Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Helpdesk I to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide first-level support to end-users, assisting with technical issues and ensuring a smooth operation of IT services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to user inquiries and provide technical support via phone, email, and in-person.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems to higher-level support as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Assist in the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Provide training and guidance to users on IT systems and applications.
- Collaborate with team members to improve support processes and user experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on user satisfaction.
- Familiarity with ticketing systems and remote support tools is a plus.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- 1+ year of experience in IT support or helpdesk environment preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+) are a plus.
- Previous experience in a helpdesk or technical support role is preferred but not required.
