Name of Authority: Edgefield Secondary School
Contract Period: From 1 September 2025 to 31 August 2026
Option to Extend: The Contractor grants the Authority the option to extend the Contract for a further period of one year (from 1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027).
Working Hour:
On-site (in school): 3pm to 6pm (Mondays & Thursdays)
Off-site: 9am to 12pm (Mondays to Friday) & 3pm to 6pm (Tuesdays,Wednesdays & Fridays)
Total working hours per 5-day work week: 30 hours (6 hours on-site &24 hours off-site)
Service not required on Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays
Job Description:
Software Maintenance and Support for Edgefield Secondary School's (EFSS) existing web applications
- Course Application System (Discover Edgefield)
- Knowledge Repository System (Imagine Edgefield)
- Facility Booking System
- Google Apps for Education 2-2
- Staff e-Shop
- Edgefield Digital Planner (EDP) & the applications residing in
EDP.
Software Development / Enhancements
- Provide software development / enhancements to EFSS's
existing web applications, when requested
Consultancy Services
- Provide professional advice and technical expertise for EFSS'
plans for new software development in the future to achieve
its strategic objectives and enhance its operational efficiency
Maintenance of EFSS' Students' Google G Suite Accounts
- Annual account creation for Secondary One students
- Annual email group creation for all levels and classes
Compliance to MOE IT Security Specifications for School-managed
Systems - Unclassified only V1.1 (Please refer to the attached
document for details.)
Job Requirements:
Skills
Proficient with WordPress (Content Management System)
Proficient with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Proficient with object-oriented PHP and Lavarel 7 PHP
Framework
Proficient with working with databases (e.g. MySQL) and web
servers (e.g. Apache / NGINX)
Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Vue / React) is a
plus
Ability to work on both User Interface (UI) and User Experience
(UX) design
Ability to communicate and articulate ideas clearly in written and
verbal forms
Ability to work effectively independently and as a team
Ability to plan, organise and prioritise work
Possesses strategic and analytical thinking skills to make sound
decisions and resolve problems
Experience
Has at least 3 years of experience working in or with Singapore
schools in ICT related fields, with focus in software development,
programming and / or project management
Has experience developing mobile-responsive desktop and
mobile applications
