About the Role

You will be responsible for supporting fundraising and stewardship activities to secure mid-level and major gifts ($10,000 to $1,000,000) for the NCCS Cancer Fund and Research Fund. This role involves donor relations, research and due diligence, stewardship reporting, and administrative follow-up to ensure proper record keeping. You will work within the Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs in compliance with all Government Acts and Legislation, as well as NCCS' policies.

Some of the Key Responsibilities Include

  • Support the Community Partnership team in maintaining proper donor records of gift agreements and administrative follow-up for major gifts

  • Conduct research and due diligence for major donors/prospects and follow-up on gift proposals

  • Provide timely reporting to donors on their gift impact and maintain acknowledgement and recognition benefits

  • Provide administrative and logistic support for fundraising and stewardship events and campaigns

  • Handle confidential donor and prospect information in a sensitive, ethical manner

  • Build collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant charity regulations, personal data protection act, and code of ethical principles

  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Business Administration or related fields

  • 2-3 years of relevant fundraising experience preferred

  • Experience in working with academic or medical leaders is an advantage

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint

  • Organized and meticulous with strong attention to detail

  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and negotiation abilities

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines
