As a Ophthalmologist (Vitreoretinal), you will be responsible for the following duties:

• Diagnose and manage a full range of retinal diseases including diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusions, retinal detachments, and other vitreoretinal disorders.
• Perform surgical procedures including vitrectomy, retinal detachment repair, macular surgery, etc.
• Provide intravitreal injections and laser treatments as clinically indicated.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including general ophthalmologists and optometrists.
• Participate in shared on-call coverage (if applicable).
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records using EMR.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and prognoses.
• Participate in clinical research and teaching opportunities (if applicable).

Requirements:

• Medical degree from an accredited institution.
• Recognized postgraduate qualification in ophthalmology, such as the MMed (Ophthalmology) or FRCOphth.
• Eligible for full Medical and Specialist registration by the Singapore Medical Council.
• Fellowship training in vitreoretinal surgery.
• Excellent surgical and diagnostic skills.
