R&D Chemist

AGC Multi Material Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced R&D Chemist to join our team.

What you'll be doing

• Develop resin formulations for Copper Clad Laminate (CCL) applications.
• Research new methods and raw materials to enhance existing products and create new ones, focusing on quality and cost improvements.
• Lead R&D projects from development through to commercialization.
• Collaborate with R&D teams in the US and Japan on ongoing projects.
• Source and evaluate alternative raw materials for current products, ensuring proper qualification.
• Analyze test results, preparing comprehensive reports with recommendations and conclusions.
• Estimate costs, resources, and time required for research projects and monitor project performance to meet targets.
• Provide technical support to production, QA, Technical Service, and other departments as needed, including troubleshooting and failure analysis.
• Assist in the transfer of new products and processes from other business units.
• Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in formulation, preferably in the relevant industry.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mature, tactful, resourceful, with a positive attitude and self-motivation.
