Singapore BAH Partners Full time $150,000 - $200,000 per year

BAH Partners are currently hiring a mid/senior low latency Java specialist for a cryptocurrency exchange to architect and scale a high-performance derivatives trading platform. You'll build mission-critical microservices for order matching, risk management, and settlement systems in a globally distributed team. This role can be based in Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan or remotely (within APAC timezones).

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop low-latency trading components (Java/Spring) for derivatives products (futures, options).
  • Optimize matching engine performance and fault tolerance in a microservices architecture.
  • Implement automated testing (TDD) and CI/CD pipelines with DevOps teams.
  • Enhance security and scalability of exchange infrastructure (collaborating with SREs).

Required Skills

  • 5 years Java (Spring Boot, multithreading, performance tuning).
  • Experience with:
    • Trading systems (traditional/crypto exchanges, hedge funds, or investment banks).
    • Microservices (Kafka, gRPC, cloud-native deployments).
  • Strong grasp of automated testing and agile methodologies.

Preferred Skills

  • Crypto derivatives (futures/options) or FX/equities trading knowledge.
  • Familiarity with blockchain settlement or smart contracts.
