Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and enable applications for Splunk APM, RUM, and Synthetic monitoring.
  • Onboard new applications and services to Splunk observability platforms.
  • Maintain and enhance Splunk observability tools, including Infrastructure Monitoring.
  • Continuously tune and optimize alert rules to improve accuracy and reduce noise.
  • Coordinate with Operations for patching and upgrading Splunk agents across environments.
  • Proactively monitor hosts, applications, and infrastructure to detect issues early.
  • Create and fine-tune dashboards for actionable insights into system health.
  • Configure and manage paging and alerting duties for timely incident response.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand monitoring coverage.
  • Organize and lead bi-monthly operational meetings on Splunk and monitoring activities.
  • Balance BAU tasks with continuous monitoring enhancements.
  • Develop and update SOPs and knowledge base articles.
Requirements
  • Diploma/Degree in IT, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in IT monitoring, system engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Splunk Observability tools (APM, RUM, Synthetic, Infrastructure Monitoring).
  • Hands-on experience in alert tuning, dashboard creation, and incident monitoring.
  • Familiar with patching/upgrading Splunk agents and working with operations teams.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for cross-team collaboration.
