Senior Technician

The duties & responsibilities will include but not limited to:

1.     ASRS operation (Primary)

·       Operate and monitor ASRS equipment, conveyors, and control systems.

·       Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and automation components.

·       Troubleshoot faults and provide first-line technical support for recovery of the ASRS operation – robots, STV, SRM, software.

·       Training of end-users and technician on simple trouble shooting of the operation, e.g. reset of operation, start-up operation

·       Maintain cold chain integrity and temperature compliance.

·       Upkeep of documentation for ASRS including accurate maintenance records and support spare parts management.

·      Support ASRS automation projects from design, execution to commissioning. This will include FAT/SAT, interface coordination and integrated testing, etc.

·       Develop protocol, integrated test requirements, and perform automation installation and operation verification

·       Assist in maintaining the system compliance documentations and implementations for key food safety, work safety & health, customer audits, regulatory requirement.

·       Cross-functional Coordination:

-      Liaise with Manufacturing on interface issue between Packaging and ASRS.

-      Collaborate and support sales, marketing teams etc.

-      Communicate any delays or disruptions in supply chain to relevant stakeholders.

·       Any other ad hoc duties

2.     Electrical System (Secondary)Support the electrical team in the following area:

·       Attend to power trip which is due to system fault.

·       Trouble shooting and improvement of electrical system.

· Assist in overseeing the electrical supply system — HT & LT switchgears and transformers.

· Attend to any electrical equipment repair which cannot be resolved by technician and supervisor.

· Upkeep of documentation for Electrical System such as updated line drawings and servicing records

3.     Plant Automation and Instrumentation (Secondary)

· Support the engineer in plant automation and instrumentation improvement

· Provide engineering, calibration & maintenance support on automation systems including Manufacturing Execution System (MES), Building Management System (BMS) and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) devices.

·      Liaison with external vendor on technical support for BMS/UMS/MES.

·       Daily maintenance of the control system includes visual and health checks on the control system and hardware, identifying possible issues, and fixing them

·       Perform troubleshooting/investigation for any disruption/failure. Recommend and follow up with corrective action/preventive action (CAPA) to eliminate similar disruption/failure

·       Assist in Industrial 4.0 for new factory through use big data analytics and connectivity devices and services

·       Provide training to end-users and technicians on the process control system

4.     Plant equipment (Secondary)

Support Plant Technician when required in the following areas.

·       Carry out repair maintenance works.

·       Carry out preventive maintenance as per schedule

·       Assist supervisor on improvement works.

·       Accomplishes others daily assignments as directed

Work experience requirements

· –5 years' technical maintenance experience (ASRS or cold chain preferred).

·       Knowledge of PLC systems and ability to read technical drawings is a plus.

·       Comfortable working in chilled conditions, with shifts and on-call duties.

Working Environment:

·       Chilled warehouse (2–4°C) with PPE provided.

·       Physical tasks include climbing, lifting, and working at heights.

Education requirements

·       Diploma/Certificate in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Automation Engineering.
