The Position

The Opportunity

As the Chapter Lead for Commercialization Strategy & Partnerships,  you will play a transformative leadership role in Roche Singapore — shaping the future of healthcare through bold partnerships, system-level innovation, and deep alignment to patient needs. You will lead a high-performing chapter of Patient Journey Partners (PJPs), orchestrating integrated strategies and solutions across [all / a cluster of] disease areas to deliver better outcomes for patients, faster and ensuring close engagements with customers and ecosystem partners.

You will also serve as Roche's primary steward for health system engagement and business development, cultivating strategic partnerships with senior institutional stakeholders — including C-suite leaders of public hospitals, national centers, and private healthcare systems. Through these partnerships, you will co-create value, expand access, and unlock opportunities that accelerate Roche's enterprise impact.

Critically, you will be accountable for driving business growth, resource optimization, and long-term sustainability across your portfolio. This includes full P&L ownership for your disease area cluster — ensuring commercial viability, strategic investment, and patient impact are delivered in tandem.

You and your team will collaborate closely with cross-functional chapters, and the broader Roche network to deliver ecosystem-informed, insight-driven, and commercially sound solutions — anchored in our shared purpose of doing now what patients need next.

As the Chapter Lead for Commercialization Strategy & Partnerships, you are responsible for:

1. Chapter & Capability Leadership

  • Lead and develop the PJP chapter to co-create patient- and system-centric solutions across multiple disease areas. Support and coach PJPs in ensuring seamless external engagements across all critical channels.

  • Build a diverse, high-performing, and purpose-driven chapter culture, focused on triple-win outcomes, inclusion, and agile experimentation.

  • Serve as a coach and mentor, enabling capability-building and professional growth across your chapter.

  • Co-create and sustain the mission of the PJP  while championing agile ways of working and empowered decision-making.

  • Foster a culture of transparency, feedback, and continuous learning.
     

Strategy & Cluster Disease Area Enablement

  • Partner with PJPs and functional teams to align on strategy, resourcing, and priority disease area ambitions.

  • Provide clarity and structure on how Roche engages across the ecosystem to unlock roadblocks and accelerate care.

  • Identify, adapt, or co-create scalable solutions from the global network that deliver impact in Singapore.
     

Strategic Ecosystem Engagement

  • Establish Roche as a trusted partner in the healthcare system by engaging directly with C-suite leaders in national institutions, public and private hospitals, and relevant government agencies.

  • Champion long-term partnerships aligned to ecosystem priorities such as access, affordability, care delivery models, and digital innovation.

  • Anticipate shifts in the healthcare landscape and embed those insights into Roche's strategy and engagement models.
     

 Key Account Management & Business Development

  • Own the strategic direction and execution of key account partnerships with high-impact healthcare institutions (ie public hospitals, private hospital groups, retail chains, polyclinics)

  • Develop and lead account plans that identify shared priorities and measurable outcomes for patients, partners, and Roche.

  • Drive business development opportunities that enhance Roche's reach, relevance, and impact in key disease areas.

  • Serve as the escalation point and executive sponsor for complex account partnerships and high-stakes opportunities.
     

 Enterprise Collaboration & Network Activation

  • Champion enterprise-wide prioritization to ensure resources are focused on high-value outcomes.

  • Role-model and embed Roche's VACC (Visionary, Architect, Catalyst, Coach) leadership and enterprise mindset.

  • Act as a network broker to connect local teams to the broader Roche ecosystem for knowledge, innovation, and expertise.

  • Actively shape Roche Singapore's affiliate strategy, collaborating across chapters and functions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership in healthcare, pharma, biotech, consulting, or health systems.
     

  • Proven success leading cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder partnerships.
     

  • Strong understanding of the Singapore healthcare system and public-private interfaces.
     

  • Experience with business development, institutional engagement, or strategic account management is highly desirable.
     

  • Experience working in agile, networked environments; ability to influence without authority.
     

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, business, or healthcare fields required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MMedSci) a plus.
