We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Electrical Engineer to support the. This role involves working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

*Key Responsibilities:*

  • Assist in the design and development of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
  • Support the preparation of electrical drawings, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Perform calculations for power distribution, lighting, and grounding systems.
  • Assist in testing and troubleshooting electrical systems to identify issues and ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct site visits and field inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and project managers on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of electrical designs, changes, and procedures.
  • Ensure all work adheres to relevant codes (e.g., NEC, IEC), standards, and best practices.

*Requirements:*

Education & Experience:

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Degree
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience (internships or co-op positions are a plus).
  • Knowledge of electrical systems, equipment, and codes.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or other electrical design software.
  • Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, MATLAB, or similar simulation software is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of power systems, control systems, and instrumentation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic work environment.

Other:

  • Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.
  • EIT certification (or in progress) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and electrical regulations.
