UWCSEA Dover has a vacancy at its Dover Campus for a General Worker (Housekeeping) for hire immediately.

Reporting to the Facilities Supervisor - Housekeeping, the incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the office and surrounding areas. Your responsibilities will include but not limit to the following:

Main Responsibilities

  • Sweeping, vacuuming and mopping floor
  • Cleaning of toilets, bedrooms, classrooms, offices, common areas etc.
  • Ensure outside walkways/ corridors/staircases remain clear and free of debris Inform supervisors of any defects/ repairs required
  • Assist with any other duties, tasks or jobs with similar levels of responsibility and complexity to the assigned job grade as may be reasonably requested by the line manager and/or the College

Person Specifications

  • GCE "O" Levels and below with at least 1 year relevant experience
  • Ability to walk, bend, push, pull and lift repetitively during working hours
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage and disposal methods
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work as a team
  • Excellent organisational skill is a must
  • Self-­motivated and the ability to identify and complete needed tasks without direct supervision
