You will perform clinical screening and assess suitability of referrals for tissue donation. You will provide support to the tissue recovery team through collection and interpretation of background information, including medical histories and other relevant information on deceased persons.   You will liaise with families regarding tissue donation and ensure that the families are well supported throughout the process.

You will be collaborating closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure the timely acquisition of necessary authorisations and consent mandated by legal requirements and ensure strict compliance with required standards throughout the recovery process. You will ensure the distribution of tissues are carried out in accordance with the guidelines by each programme/MOH. You will update the registry for every referral case, collate and disseminate statistical data for the tissue bank as required.

You will participate in activities and outreach efforts aimed at raising awareness about tissue donation among the general public and be involved in transplant tissue bank education for healthcare professionals, students (medical, nursing, and allied health) and overseas visitors.  You will also assist with maintaining the Standard Operating Procedures and guidelines that comply with established legal frameworks and accreditation bodies, as well as participate in research related to tissue transplantation.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Nursing, Healthcare, Life Sciences or equivalent, preferably with 1 to 2 years of working experience.
  • Demonstrate the ability to work independently with strong interpersonal skills, initiative, and a pleasant disposition.
  • Ability to manage a multidisciplinary team within a time-sensitive environment.
  • Willingness to be on-call on a rotational basis
